- I am a retired elementary school teacher from Canada. Five years before retiring, I took a leave of absense and taught ESL in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Two weeks after being there, I met Alfredo and we have been together ever since. I completed my last five years of teaching in Canada. Alfredo and I visited as often as we could. Now retired, I have so much more freedom! Alfredo has a tour company called Palapa Transport that I love to help him with. Living in another culture has changed me forever
